How we vet our pros

ProScape Hawaii is built on real local expertise and real verified businesses, not volume. Here is exactly what a pro has to clear before we ever send them your name, and what we promise you in return.

  1. Licensed where the work requires it

    Hawaii requires a contractor license for any job of $1,500 or more (labor + materials) and for structural, electrical, or permitted work. Those jobs only go to pros holding a current State of Hawaii license, and we check the number against the DCCA. Plenty of routine yard and maintenance work legally requires no license, and we are honest about which is which — but licensed-trade work without a license means no listing, full stop.

  2. Proof of liability insurance

    We ask for a current certificate of liability insurance on file, not just a checkbox. If a crew is working on your property, you should not be the one carrying the risk. We confirm coverage before a pro is marked verified.

  3. Real references and real work

    We talk to past customers and look at actual completed Oahu jobs, not stock photos. We want to see that the work holds up in our salt air, hard water, and heavy windward rain, because mainland-grade work does not last out here.

  4. Moderated, genuine reviews only

    Reviews on a pro profile come from real customers and are moderated before they post. We never write, buy, or invent reviews, and we never let a pro edit them. If there are no verified reviews yet, the profile says so plainly.

  5. One careful match, not an auction

    When you ask for help, your details go to the one pro who actually fits, by service, by area, and by who has room to take you on. You do not get spammed by five strangers racing to the bottom. That is the whole point.

  6. We stay selective

    This is a small, hand-picked network, not a directory of everyone with a truck. Not every applicant makes the cut, and pros who stop meeting the bar come off. Fewer, better pros is the standard, on purpose.
